April 2009: Ostern in den USA - Easter in the US

Ueber Ostern sind wir fuer zwei Wochen in den USA bei Emily's Eltern. Das Wetter ist fruehlingshaft warm und wir geniessen die Zeit.

For Easter we are currently spending two weeks with Emily's parents in the US. The weather is warm and springy, and we are enjoying these days.

Wir waren im Zoo von Greenville und haben uns die Tiere angeschaut. Joshua war besonders von den Affen begeistert: klar, die haben rumgeturnt und Krach gemacht.
We went to the Greenville Zoo and saw the animals. Joshua was especially excited to watch the monkeys; quite obvious why: they were jumping around like crazy and made loud noises.

Am Ostersonntag sind wir zuerst morgens in den Gottesdienst und haben anschliessend ein Familien-Mittag gemacht. Emily's Schwester Meredith und ihr Mann Jason waren dabei, und auch Tante Mary Ann und Onkel Marion.

For Easter we first went to church in the morning and had a family lunch time afterwards. Emily's sister Meredith and her husband Jason came as well as her aunt Mary Ann and uncle Marion.

Am Ostersonntag Nachmittag haben wir dann eine kleine Wanderung in den Bergen vom DuPont State Forest gemacht, wir sind zu ein paar Wasserfaellen gelaufen und haben dabei den Wanderrucksack zum ersten Mal genutzt.

In the afternoon we went to the mountains for a little hike. We hiked to some pretty watterfalls in DuPont State Forest and used Joshua's hiking backpack for the first time.

Es war nicht mehr zu vermeiden: Joshua's Maehne musste runter und wir sind zum Friseur. Das Resultat seht Ihr im naechsten Posting.
