November 2009: American Thanksgiving in Munich

We crazy Lawrenzs decided to host a full-blown Thanksgiving meal on the Sunday after Thanksgiving (the Thursday was a normal workday here). Emily prepared all week, and when Andy got back from his business trip on Saturday, he jumped right in, too. Here is Emily on Saturday night, about to put her pumpkin pie in the oven.

Our guests were our non-American neighbors from the three houses next door. They were all very excited about experiencing this famous tradition!

The food turned out better than we could have hoped! Our organic turkey was juicy and flavorful, and we served cornbread stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes and salad to accompany it.

Joshua's really into playing with blocks lately, and enjoys knocking over his towers (and ours!) with his hands or head!
