Letzte Woche Freitag 15.
On Friday evening May 15, Emily and Andy went to a Barbershop Concert on the east side of Munich. The host of the event was a very good amateur Barbershop chorus called "Herrenbesuch". We enjoyed their energy, selection of music from various decades, and the fun atmosphere in the audience.
Vielen Dank Mark!
But the guest barbershop quartet for the evening was anything but amateur: the 3rd place winners from the international championship in 2008, "Stateline Grocery" from Atlanta, GA. A good friend of ours, Mark Lamback, is one-quarter of the group, and also the husband of Emily's college friend and apartment-mate, Elizabeth Head Lamback. (For those of you who were at our wedding, she played violin, he played piano.) We were thrilled to hear Mark and his colleagues live, and were rewarded with perfect intonation, masterful showmanship, and incredible harmonies! Thanks, Mark, for the world class performance, and good luck at this summer's competition!
