The first highlight was Joshua's fourth birthday -- pirate style! Here, he's posing with his grandma, Marmie, and cousin, Parker.
Baba (Charlie), Marmie, and Emily planned a treasure hunt all around the yard, and here's the contented pirate about to attack the loot in the treasure chest.
We were in hardcore egg hunt country, and attended the egg hunt at Furman University, Emily's alma mater. Whereas some children were afraid of him, Henry was infatuated with the Easter Bunny!
Our younger son is also a farm animal fanatic, his favorites being cows and horses. At the Shriner's Circus, our 22 month old fearlessly rode a pony.
Picking carrots in Baba and Marmie's garden!
Joshua's hot rod -- we bought him a bike at Wal-mart, and he loved riding in circles in the cul-de-sacs!
Joshua's first baseball game -- with Baba, who explained all the rules!
Down on the farm with Aunt Mary and Uncle Boo. Tractor rides, roasting marshmallows, good times!
Andy's sister, Christine, came down from Canada for a few days to spend time with her nephews. We also got to enjoy some girl time downtown. Hope to see you in Kingston before too long!
Story hour at the library. Getting to be good buddies!
Emily was happy to see her Furman friends, Brooke and Megan, here with some of their kids (we have 8 in total)!
The work continues -- Joshua helped Baba put up the scarecrow.
Our time in the US ended on a high note with Les Miserables at the Peace Center. Loved the new scenery and staging to honor Hugo's own paintings and to commemorate 25 years on Broadway. My favorite show of all time! Keep dreaming the dream!
