Friday and Saturday we visited Paushali, Mark and little Tanisha, friends from MICC, who moved to Duesseldorf in the fall.

We enjoyed wonderful weather along the Rhein.

We also spent a day with Andy's uncle Martin and family in Herten...

... before driving Monday morning to Bielefeld for breakfast with Mutti (who also happened to be visiting her mother) and Oma, followed by an outing to the spa town of Bad Salzuflen.

The end of the trip was for "just the two of us". We spend Monday night and most of Tuesday in Würzburg, one of Bavaria's northernmost cities, and visited the Residence, where prince-bishops once ruled. We were most impressed by Tiepolo's enormous fresco (considered the largest in the world) of the "four continents" in the tremendous hall of stairs.
